About Us

Commencing operations in 2009, Southern Ag Grain (SAG) is a joint venture between grower owned, Southern Agventure (SAV) and leading Australian grain marketers, Emerald.  This joint venture allows southern NSW growers to take control of their grain marketing and benefit from the collaboration of risk management with local expertise.

Proudly local and farmer focussed, SAG services the specific needs of southern NSW grain farmers. Southern Ag Grain was formed for grain growers by grain growers together with  Emerald, which was itself founded on the premise that the focus should be on servicing the grain grower as the customer. With this in mind, you can be assured that our focus is on maximising returns for our customer, the southern New South Wales grain grower. It’s a mixture of understanding, knowledge, fresh ideas, diligence and commitment that defines the Southern Ag Grain approach. 

To complement our Wagga Wagga-based team, through our joint venture partners, we also have associated offices throughout the country including Ballarat, Horsham, Swan Hill, Ouyen, Goondiwindi, Port Lincoln, Geraldton, Narrogin, Esperance, Perth, Albany, Merredin, Toowoomba and Melbourne.
